Designed by Simpson Bell Architects, this project involved the sympathetic conversion of a historic A listed stable block into additional accommodation for the estate. A modern floor-to-ceiling glass extension, cantilevered over steeply sloping ground, was added to capture the stunning westward views over the River Tay below.
Due to restricted access, most materials for the new extension had to be craned over the existing building to ensure safe construction.
The conversion created an artist’s studio, three additional bedrooms, two bathrooms, living rooms, and a glazed sunroom.
